Our first 4th of July Spanish Mustang Riders Celebration, Parade and Barbeque was a Super Success! We had a great turnout in both horses and people, got reacquainted with old friends, made new ones! Participating in the parade were 22 horses and 27 humans. Around 40 people, not including our family members who helped out, attended the barbeque hosted by Many Ponies after the parade. We intend to make this an annual event, make plans to join us in 2007 |

| The big day arrived, nervous anticipation! For me, it was the first parade I had ridden in for some years. Some met at our place, some went directly to the parade route line up area. We made it thru the heavy traffic ok, but upon reaching the parade line up area, we got a phone call from home, our guest from Wyoming, Susan Randall, had inadvertently been left behind! Cousin Tony to the rescue, he saw that she arrived to the right spot. Butterscotch is pictured to the right, waiting patiently. Can't tell from the photo that she was just caught up that same morning from the stallion pasture where she was with Knight, saddled for the first time since Feb. and ready for her very first parade! Don Harwood gave her a little trial run at home and she was ready to go! |

| Gene Harwood and MP Silver Concho. Concho is Gene's horse, trained by Gene, son of Don & Terri Harwood. This was the pair's first parade, they did a fine job. Concho was bred by us, raised here till finding a partner in Gene last year. Concho has a new half-brother born just this morning, a black medicine hat. |
